The course will involve research experiences relevant to the study of psychology. The format will depend on the research opportunities available each year. Formats might include conducting a research project, working with postgraduate students, participating in research conferences, winter/summer research intensives, and online research courses for example. All opportunities will be supervised by a member of the Research School of Psychology , and options available each year will be posted on a dedicated wattle site. This is a restricted entry course, applications should occur through the course convenor.
This is an Honours Pathway Course. Enrolment in PSYC3030 is only available for BPsyc (Hons) students.

Other Information
The structure will vary as the course is designed to take advantage of a range of research opportunities that might be available each year. These might include participating is research conferences, working with postgraduate students, working on a dedicated research project, the APS Wiki initiative, participating in research-oriented online courses, summer/winter research projects. There is a dedicated course convenor, but in addition to this, each project will be closely supervised by a RSP staff member.
Indicative Assessment
Assessment will almost certainly involve 2 or 3 components and will involve a major assignment, but will be specifically tailored to the nature of the research opportunity. (LO 1 - 10) depending on nature of Research
For example participating in a research project might involve a learning journal and the write-up of a lab report. Similarly, attending a research conference might involve writing up a number of the papers and presenting at least one in a departmental research forum. The aim of the assessment is to be linked closely to the nature of the specific learning experience of the project.
