For decades, Indonesian Studies at ANU has been one of the world's strongest centres of excellence in the field, thanks to the unparalleled size, range, and quality of experts on campus. The major provides a well integrated training, keeping a good balance in the scope of study between the past history and present challenges, as well as in terms of analytical approaches drawn from the humanities and the social sciences. Training in this major will significantly enhance qualifications and opportunities for employment in a wide range of fields, such as media industry, education, government offices, or commerce.
