psychology, physics, archaeology, medicine and information technology,
there is always a need for qualified statisticians to make proper sense
of the data. The Master of Statistics program will enable you to
specialise in any of a large number of areas, as well as receive
rigorous training in core statistical application and theory. This will
set you up as a professional statistician whose services will be highly
sought-after. With an ANU Master of Statistics you will excel in your
career literally anywhere is the world.

The Master of Statistics requires the completion of 96 units, which must consist of:

About this degree
Students must achieve a minimum 60% weighted average mark in the initial component to continue to the concluding component.
Students who do not achieve a minimum of 60% weighted average mark in the initial component will be transferred to the Graduate Diploma of Finance Actuarial Studies and Applied Statistics.
Enrolment Status
It is possible to enrol in fewer courses per semester but it will take you longer to finish your program and get your degree. If you are an international student you must always be enrolled full-time in 24 units each semester.
Remember you will need to enrol in courses for both First Semester and Second Semester. You will be able to change your enrolment in courses up until the end of week 2 of each semester without penalty.

Students are required to discuss their course selection with the Program Convener, Dr Gen Nowak (gen.nowak@anu.edu.au). Please ensure you take a copy of your academic transcript with you when you meet with Dr Gen Nowak. He will be available during the O week in his office: Room 3.66, CBE Bld (26C)
