The Master of Asian and Pacific Studies (Advanced) requires the completion of 96 units, which must consist of:

ASIA8500 Master of Asian and Pacific Studies (Advanced) Sub-thesis
Students must achieve a minimum 70% weighted average mark in the first 72 units of courses attempted in order to remain enrolled in the Master of Asian and Pacific Studies (Advanced).
Students who do not achieve a minimum of 70% weighted average mark will be transferred to the Master of Asian and Pacific Studies.

Admission Requirements
Admission requires a Bachelor Degree or international equivalent with a GPA of at least 6.0/7.0
Applicants who have completed a Bachelor Degree in a cognate discipline or Graduate Certificate in a cognate discipline may be eligible for 24 units (one semester) of credit.
Applicants who have completed an Honours degree in a cognate discipline or a Graduate Diploma in a cognate discipline may be eligible for 48 units (on year) of credit.
Students must achieve a minimum 70% weighted average mark in the first 72 units of the degree to remain enrolled in the Master of Asia and Pacific Studies (Advanced). Students who do not achieve a minimum 70% weighted average mark will be transferred to the Master of Asia and Pacific Studies.

The Master of Asian and Pacific Studies (Advanced) will provide you with the regional grounding and research expertise that you need to graduate as a leader of the Asian Century. The program provides a broad variety of courses with an Asian and Pacific focus and allows students to follow individual areas of specialisation in specific areas of the Asian and Pacific regions or in disciplines drawing on regional case studies. In this program you will be taught by some of the most eminent scholars of Asia and the Pacific in the world. Graduates of the Master of Asian and Pacific Studies (Advanced) will also have proven skills in independent research for the purposes of further academic or professional research.
